  • Systems Security Engineering Lead
  • Lead engineer responsible for defining Cybersecurity, Anti-Tamper, and Supply Chain Risk Management objectives for program office developing a hypersonic missile defense weapon system. Created and preserved configuration management of the Cybersecurity Strategy (CSS). Worked with teams to develop company-wide information assurance, security standards and procedures. Lead team that defined weapon system critical program information (CPI) and methodology to
    identify inherited and organic CPI, protection measures, and consequence if compromised. Provided objective evidence, appraised acquisition data requirements list (ADRL), and extensive technical evaluations in support of source selection and contract proposals. Mitigated program risk despite communication challenges associated with security constraints of programs I lead. Plan cybersecurity table top exercises that will identify security vulnerabilities and improve cyber resilience and survivability. Part of team responsible for securing communications required to close the fire control loop and protecting CPI from malicious actors.


SM-3 Ordnance Assessment (OA) Lead Engineer

Led multiple complex technical efforts and working groups coordinating development of the SM-3 ordnance assessment strategy. Led of Ordnance Assessment Working Group (OAWG), team comprised of government and contractors, which assesses and monitors safety, reliability, and performance of ordnance and weapon components, and statistically project their future characteristics. Manage Service Life Evaluation Program (SLEP) for all SM-3 variants. Coordinate OA program for new production SM-3 Blk IIA. Manage Government and Industry teams to coordinate OA solutions with FMS partner. Authored technical report recommending path forward supporting continued use of end of service life SM-3 IAs. Led trade studies and coordinated safety assessments extending safe service life of the SM-3 Blk IA/IB increasing fleet availability and reducing cost of the missile lifecycle. As a result, policies and procedures have been updated to improve deployment of operationally effective missile defense capability while optimizing available resources per organizational goals

SM-3 Reliability Lead Engineer

·Serve as Co-Chair the SM-3 Reliability Working Group (RWG) as AG Lead Reliability Engineer. Co-Manage the SM-3 Reliability Program with QS and/or DE and provide MDA Leadership with quarterly reports on results of the Reliability Model updates for all variants of the SM-3 missile. Provide objective quality evidence to inform decisions and make recommendations related to missile reliability. Increase and maintain reliability of AB systems (HW/SW) and increase warfighter confidence in the systems. Drive to improve the SM-3 Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) and FRACAS programs, and assess Fix Effectiveness Factors (FEFs) for FRB results, and offer recommendations as required to resolve missile reliability problems and enhance SM-3 reliability throughout the missile lifecycle. Lead team responsible for coordinating trade study to extend recertification of SM-3 Blk IB from 4 to 6 years, increasing fleet availability and reducing cost of the missile lifecycle

Operational Capacity Baseline Engineer

Lead engineer responsible for ensuring Aegis capability insertions are compliant with MDA Configuration Management Procedures and interoperable with existing BMDS architecture. Duties include preparing and briefing Aegis technical capability declaration documentation to MDA Systems Engineering boards and leadership. Supervise internal/external stakeholders that develop technical body of evidence presented to OCB Working Group (OWG) for all Aegis capability insertions, upgrades and deletions to the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) OCB configuration. Examine directives and documentation to ensure change decisions receive the appropriate technical rigor and the agility of decisions to support program tempo. Design planning to ensure urgent need request are fulfilled with a high confidence of interoperability with the BMDS architecture. Voting member on committee that approves additions and upgrades to the BMDS architecture. Coordinate and direct efforts in matters related to requirements, test and evaluation of C4I issues across all Aegis Weapon Systems baselines. Led team in revision of Aegis BMD Systems Engineering Plan (SEP). Draft solutions for near and far term objectives augmenting current BMD Collaborative Planning processes. Serve as representative for Aegis BMD Engineering Directorate to the Aegis BMD Program Offices. Interface with Program Offices, Warfighter representatives, and Test Directorate to provide inputs to Aegis BMD master schedule. Coordinate with internal/external stakeholders to schedule technical interchange meetings, assessment planning, and serve as liaison for Aegis BMD in the MDA Engineering Board Process.
