As a Registered Nurse at a post-acute center, my roles include managing care for patients with post-acute and chronic needs, administering medications, providing skilled care within the scope of practice (such as inserting IVs and administering IV meds, providing PICC line and midline care, inserting and caring for Foley catheters, providing wound care and trach care, administering feeding tubes, caring for NGT and G-tube patients, giving injections, providing tracheostomy care, assessing patients, and reporting any changes in condition to HCP), admitting and discharging patients, performing initial assessments, creating care plans, providing patient education, supervising LVNs and CNAs, and utilizing critical thinking and leadership skills to ensure optimal patient care.
