Assignment entailed rounding on 6-10 patients daily within ICU, PCU, and Tele. Including, evaluating and admitting patients from the ED. I would round with the attending and assist in determining their daily treatment needs based on lab values and pertinent findings, dispositioning the patient accordingly, and determining any urgent diagnostic and treatment needs.

Performed patient assessment and intervention for all acuity levels including but not limited to STEMI, Nstemi, acute abdomen, laceration repair, I&D's, respiratory distress and pathology, musculoskeletal injury, CVA and TIA's, and various trauma.

Assignment included conducting well exams and Medicare annuals, sick visits such as respiratory and other acute or chronic illnesses such as heart failure and diabetes, evaluation and assessment for new problem visits, delegating appropriate specialty referrals, and health education for adults in all stages of life.

Performed psychiatric evaluations including suicide risk assessments, intakes and mental status exams. Typically I would address symptoms a patient was experiencing and help augment their treatment and medication regimen for stabilization, then educate the patient with coping and self regulation techniques.

Conducted well exams and acute sick visit workups for ages 0-21, sports physicals, immigration physicals, and point of care testing. Vaccination review and general childhood health screenings for behavioral health, developmental milestones, and providing parent education for stages of development.
