Completed the PCM task in record time without any critiques, saving the company money. Involved in the inverter change over and earning a recognition from John Casey and a four-star admiral. Involved in the first installation of the VLRA batteries at the MPTU training station in South Carolina. Involved in four Ohio conversions, increasing the life of the ship and safety of the United States. As a senior mechanic and working leader, responsibilities on the USS Montpelier include

  • Overseeing the upcoming workforce to make sure they perform their job duties. Also responsible for making sure other workers can read TGI's, navigate the ship, and fully understand their daily tasks.
  • Responsible for overseeing the upcoming workforce in the COATS building on the modular for the hotel services aspect, which included building plugs, hooking up power panels, running and banding fiber optic cables and BOF tubes, assisting in blowing the fiber in the BOF tubes, and laying out and installing components.
  • Leading mechanic on the 765 USS Montpelier submarine. Lead mechanic in the removal and installation of transducers.
  • Loaned out to Portsmouth and Newport News naval shipyards to assist in removal and installation of transformers, remove cables and build plugs, and remove and install interference items as the job required.
  • Installed the RO system in the USS Toledo.
  • Assisted in rebuilding the sonar sphere in Puget Sound naval shipyard.
  • Assisted the EOH project from trailer 18C as part of the design build team for the USS Hartford.
  • Flexed to the Rigger and outside Machinist trades to assist with the PSA for the Mount Pellier.
  • Currently running the SHIPS program for the MTC.
  • Experience working in the tool crib during the pandemic and currently the backup toll crib attendant.
  • Knowledge of the current tools available.
