Conducted routine convoys, processed local nationals for access on base, led 3 Viper teams tasked with logistical movements throughout combat zone and controlled 90 military members in daily security escort operations. Supervised daily operations at entry control point for all Iraqi staff entering Baghdad military base. Lauded for individually saving 8 local nationals and 2 US Servicemembers in deadly RPG attack in Baghdad.
  • (Jul 2001 – Jun 2005): During Global War on Terror operations and exercises; provided coordination of the integration of civil affairs planning in support of conventional and special operations forces and in the analysis of a foreign nation's organizational lines of authority and political power structure. Coordinated treatment of noncombatants and establishment of emergency aid station. TACOM attached to war-fighter Army units to assist in their Commander’s intent. Identified agencies available to support public and military mission, prepared and briefed reports on local civilian population and surveyed environment to higher headquarters.   • (Jun 1998 – Jun 2000): Supervised members of an armor unit in offensive and defensive combat training exercises, multiple field deployments and a combat deployment to Bosnia with multinational Joint Task Force. Engaged in daily presence patrols, weapons collecting, recovery of persons of interest and served on Quick Reaction Force. Trained in anti-sniping section and conducted meetings with local civilian level authorities to establish and maintain peace in a combat environment. Accountable for 2.5-million-dollar tank and armor equipment as an E-4. Assigned to train new soldiers in basic and advanced armor crewman tasks (tactics, gunnery skills, etc.). Participated in multiple pre-deployment lane training exercises and NTC, JRTC rotations.
