hello, im a 40 plus year veteran machinist,currently working at norfolk naval shipyard, portsmouth va. over the years ive learned to efficiently write programs for cnc lathes and mills, i am g-code proficient using a variety of techniques such as macro and/or subroutine, all of the canned cycles - m codes associated with machine tool paths, i regularly use live tooling on the lathe i normally operate. at nnsy ,we write our own programs and i use daily whatever the need, lathe ,mill or any manual machine from bridge port style knee mills to cylindrical grinders, i have quality control experience , and supervision where i managed 12 machinist in the daily operations of a global pump manufacturer .
