  • Served as technical expert and liaison, implementing Liquified Natural Gas refueling operations for cruise ships in Port Canaveral, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, and New York.
  • Coast Guard representative to the Cruise Lines throughout the COVID shutdown. Member of the vice president's task force working to keep the industry open. Following CDC shutdown, drove repatriation work; leveraged relationships to push for common sense solutions to passenger and crew member cases. Liaised with U.K. and European officials to establish a return to operations framework that allowed the rapid reopening of cruising from U.S. ports following the 15 month shutdown.
  • Navigated contracting process for underway course; drove timelines and leveraged Coast Guard resources to expand contract timeline to allow for option years at the end of the term contract. Allowed the operator and the Coast Guard to continue services beyond the previous 1-year renewal cycle.
  • Coast Guard certified training instructor. Led Coast Guard Cruise Ship C-school certifying industry and Coast Guard inspectors. Conducted course reviews and led re-write of course curriculum to include student demonstrations for competency. Resulted in higher quality examinations with fewer un-warrented deficiencies.
