I'm a full-time bilingual medical speech-language pathologist (SLP) who collaborates on a interdisciplinary team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, social workers, nurses, and physicians at Valley View Nursing and Rehab in Boise, ID. My current responsibilities are to evaluate, diagnose, treat, educate, and advocate for a diverse caseload of patients with cognitive, swallow, voice, language, and/or motor speech disorders in the skilled nursing facility, assisted living facility, independent living facility, outpatient clinic, and memory care facilities contracted with Eduro Healthcare for optimal patient-centered care.
The purpose of this resume is to communicate my interest, my unique skills and knowledge from my diverse educational background and work history, my personality, my motivation, and my eligibility for the position of Director of Rehabilitation (DOR) at Valley View Nursing in Rehab.
Besides my most recent leadership role as a clinical supervisor at Valley View Nursing and Rehab in 2024 and my relevant position as the co-president of a student organization at Idaho State University, my previous experience as a managing director for Huntington Learning Center with a large and diverse team of teachers prior to graduate school distinguishes me as a candidate for DOR position, given the large scope of my previous responsibilities and the success that followed from my leadership and collaboration with staff and the community (please see below for more information).
With my familiarity and practice of Eduro's core values, my strong reputation, and my positive rapport with the administrators, staff, and residents at Valley View Nursing and Rehab over my two and a half years with the company (of which I am very honored to be part), I am more than confident I can once again fulfill the responsibilities of a director with my natural focus on compassion, wellness, results, and superb customer experience.
Full-time, Monday through Friday
In addition to evaluating and treating residents for a variety of medical diagnoses, maintaining patient confidentiality, treating every staff member, resident, and family with respect, kindness, and dignity, documenting in a timely fashion, attending care conferences, and participating in weekly team meetings for consistent communication and collaboration with the other therapists, I've helped bridge the relationship between Valley View Nursing and Rehab and ISU via clinical supervision and my connections with the university, and I've marketed outpatient speech-language therapy services to the Garden Plaza of Valley View through my ongoing collaboration with a support group and recent 1-hr presentation on Parkinson's Disease.
Overseeing a maximum number of 100 students and 22 staff members, I fulfilled the following responsibilities as the managing director of the learning center.

-Entered data from initial inquiries about program into software for record keeping and marketing.
I was the on-site clinical supervisor for 2nd-year ISU graduate student completing her 12-week clinical rotation in medical speech-language pathology. My role was to mentor, instruct, and guide the student, who originally was unfamiliar with medical settings, so that she would be successful with evaluating and treating patients, collaborating with multiple healthcare professionals and various departments, documenting the progress and outcomes of her patients, and advocating for residents for optimal care.
With combined efforts from my organization's two faculty advisers, four officers, and forty-two members, the NSSLHA chapter at Idaho State University-Meridian attained gold chapter honors during my leadership from 2017 to 2018 for the first time ever in its long history. Through several successful fundraisers, advocacy events, volunteer opportunities in the community, special guest lectures, national affiliation, monthly news updates, and networking opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students majoring in either communication sciences and disorders (CSD) or speech-language pathology (SLP), my organization proudly reached this impressive distinction.
