Prioritize repairs and preventative maintenance tasks of production equipment daily. As a senior mechanic I lead mechanics in proper and safe execution of repairs from basic parts replacement to welding and fabrication. i work with licensed electricians to trouble shoot equipment and work with outside contractors when needed. Worked 8.5 years on floor as a mechanic repairing manufacturing equipment and machining parts on an emergency basis.Worked on machining projects with engineering to improve production. Promoted to Plant engineering scheduler. I assign daily work and direct a team of 14 people. Coordinate downtime with production management for maintenance and electrical work. Work with mechanics and machining as needed to repair production equipment. I oversee shift to shift communication with tier meetings and the handoff of shifts. I attend daily management meetings for each department in the facility and attend corporate meetings as required. I trained other 3M maintenance management teams to bring there maintenance programs up to par with company standards. I was in charge of running the chemical developer mix room. I managed crew that packaged chemicals. I mixed 100 to 2000 gallon batches of lithographic developers. Worked closely with Chemists and R&D department in testing and development of new processing batches. I oversaw ordering raw chemicals for production and stock as orders demanded. I was responsible for inventory control and filling customer orders.
