Outstanding Achievement Award, Meritorius Service Award

During my deployment to Al Dhafra Air Base, UAE in support of Operations Inherent Resolve, Freedom's Sentinel, and the Afghanistan retrograde, i generated 806 KC-10 sorties totaling 6,500 flight hours and the off-load of 49 million pounds of fuel in support of 102 combat air strikes. I partnered with the hydraulic shop on an extensive troubleshooting of a failed pump. My attention to detail pinpointed a critical wire repair which led to a 92 percent Mission Capable rate for the month of September and achieved the Air Force Achievement Medal and Outstanding Achievement Award.

I was awarded the Air and Space Achievement Medal and Meritorious Service Award by swiftly responding to an anti-skid system failure on a KC-10 aircraft bound for overseas contingency operations. Within 2 hours, i diagnosed and replaced a faulty system control unit, keying the forward deployment of fifteen personnel. Additionally I was pivotal in the analysis of an electrical system bus failure, skillfully identifying and replacing three faulty components, saving a critical Coronet West mission to re-deploy 29 F-18 aircraft and delivering 189,000 pounds of fuel. I also managed 3 C-5M cryogenics personnel in the completion of an urgent oxygen cylinder investigation. My team and I inspected 26 cylinders, finding 8 of the units internally contaminated. My attention to detail was critical in providing safe emergency breathing air for 117 aircrew personnel over the course of 1,045 sorties flown.
