- Key Achievements: I used my knowledge as a Certified Safety Professional to design and implement an improved Safety Program that benefits safety and compliance, and indeed disciplines non-compliance more severely before an accident or violation occurs as well as the use of my ARCH program which uses analytic software and cross references with FMCSA Accident Registry and safety sensitive employees company records
- Over the first 18 months in this position, my implementations decreased accidents by 83% and 100% of the CDL drivers have been replaced or have moved on due to changes
- I implemented technology, outsourced repairs that didn't match my mechanics abilities, purchasing parts online in larger quantities, fueled fleet where prices were lowest within routes, hired competent more qualified drivers and by the end of the following fiscal year, company recorded a 12% profit margin

- I oversaw all commercial vehicles, drivers, and related assets, including their operations, work environment, external and internal policy compliance, and overall performance, with a strong focus on safe operational standards and regulatory compliance
- I implemented and enforced a comprehensive safety screening program 'Arch' by combining analytics software, FMCSA Accident Registry and the candidate's work profile to remove 'bad apples' from the fleet and assess potential new hires based on parameters like, the average time they spent at a job; how many different jobs they had (dry, tanker, sand box, different field, etc.) with data from the FMCSA's accident registration, in order to determine likelihood of incidents, damage to company property, likelihood of roll over, and even how long the individual might stay on the fleet
- I filtered out the 'bad apples' who show up, treat equipment like trash and then disappear
- Resulting in a 22% reduction in accidents, a 15% reduction in workers compensation claims, and 27% less driver turnover in their first 180 days of employment
- I performed daily vehicle inspections checks to ensure DOT compliance and regularly had safety meetings and retraining of critical matters that were job specific, H2S, emergency response and evacuation, workplace hazards, etc
- I monitored fuel prices along travel routes to identify where fueling 30 trucks would be least expensive, resulting in a 6% reduction in fueling costs, approximately two-hundred thousand gallons per month $905,000 down to around $850,000 monthly, saving the company nearly half a million dollars yearly
- Supervised an office team of 4 in the office 2 dispatchers, secretary and field supervisor, providing guidance and support to ensure effective fleet management and compliance with safety policy
- Key Achievements: Improved fleet safety rating by 37% through effective safety training and enforcement
- Reduced driver turnover rate by 27% in first 6 months and 19% over first year of employment
- In almost four years managing this fleet there were zero fatalities or accidents requiring post accident testing, as per 49 CFR 382.303(a) and 49 CFR 382.303(b)
- Reduced vehicle maintenance costs by 21% through purchasing large volumes of the most used parts in the shop such as tires, glad hands, brake chambers, etc., as well as phasing out mechanics with insufficient skills with qualified professionals that did jobs in half the time
- I implemented a safety and performance bonus for drivers in full regulatory compliance company policies, FMCSA's Hours of Service (HOS) regulations, no shop write ups for 'no pretrip, heavy handed driving, taking truck to shop with faults unknown to driver, etc.) or any tickets which resulted in 3% reduction in citations received in 2018 and 14% in 2009
