I served as the Public Health Emergency Response Coordinator for the Region 9 Louisiana Department of Health. My region consisted of the five Northshore Parishes: Livingston, St. Helena, Tangipahoa, St. Tammany, and Washington. My primary job responsibility was to manage the Public Health Emergency Preparedness Grant (PHEP) for the Region which focused on preparation and deployment of Strategic National Stockpile (SNS) assets in the event of bio-terroristic or pandemic activity. I also worked alongside the Parish Offices of Homeland Security in each of these parish to provide technical assistance and trainings to assist them in meeting their grant deliverables for the Cities Readiness Initiative (CRI).

Additional duties for this position included being the Emergency Support Function 8 (ESF-8) lead for medical special needs sheltering for Region 9 woking alongside other agencies such as Departments of Children and Family Services, Transportation, Education, Wildlife and Fisheries, Governor's Office of Homeland Security (GOHSEP), Acadian Ambulance, and regional medical facilities.

I served as an intake worker for applicants to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). My job duties included conducting interviews with applicants, analyzing documentation submitted, and making decisions on eligibility. In addition, I performed the same services in the Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance (DSNAP) Program in response to Hurricane Isaac.

My primary job duty included working with the General Services Administration on the transfer of surplus equipment from federal inventories within the Department of Defense, NASA, and various other federal agencies to the State of Louisiana for use in its Donations Program. The equipment was placed with qualifying agencies, such as state and parish government agencies, law enforcement agencies, schools, and 501(C3) non-profit groups. In addition, I performed compliance checks on the equipment donated to these agencies to confirm it was being used for it intended purpose. Any violations were reported to the General Services Administration for adjudication. From 2009 - 2012, I also served as the State Coordination of the Law Enforcement Support Office (LESO) 1033 Program which assisted law enforcement agencies in acquiring weapons, aircraft, watercraft, and tactical gear through the Department of Defense.

My primary job duty was to assist recipients of the Aid for Families with Dependent Children (AFDC) Program with obtaining job skills training and placement.

My job duties included reevaluating the eligibility of recipients for Food Stamps and Aid for Families with Dependent Children Programs. In addition, I investigated claims of fraud and represented the agency at exploratory hearings.
