PROJECT MANAGER

Lead E-Manifest System Project – a World Bank funded project for Vietnam General Department of Customs (GDC) that support customs process automation, completeness, and accuracy of transactions, all targeting to dramatical improvement the speed of express package customs clearance at Vietnam’s airport cargo operation. Managed this project from kick-off to post support with all deliverables on schedule which include:

  • Working with GDC and selected express carriers (Fed-Ex, UPS) in understanding current customs clearance process, reviewing and assessing IT landscape, and resource initiation.
  • Driving Unisys development teams in business process re-engineering, software algorithm design and coding, customer acceptance test, and post supports.

e-Manifest Project was finally announced during APEC Conference by US Ambassador Michael Michalak and GDC General Director Le Manh Hung as a successful project, a symbol of future relationship between US and Vietnam after trade embargo was lifted. This is also a pilot for e-manifest system roll-out years later.
