  • Oversee the qualification, testing, and licensing of all equipment and vehicle operators

  • Develop annual and long-range program requirements for the operating budget, equipment requirements (upgrades, replacements, new equipment contracts), and improvements to the Standard Operating Procedures
  • Prepare contract documents including specifications and cost estimates for equipment and vehicle purchases, repairs, and support personnel
  • Analyze overall program effectiveness by conducting detailed analysis of equipment utilization, compliance with current safety standards, and adherence to Navy regulations
  • Analyze program needs and determine the most efficient and cost-effective method to meet current and future program objectives
  • Represent NSWCCD on all weight handling, material handling and transportation matters by interfacing with high level officials from government agencies such as NAVSEA 08, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and Navy Crane Center
  • Represented NSWCCD in providing input to Navy agencies for changes and improvements to governing documents and manuals
  • Established long range technical and cost projections with recommendations for improvement where needed
