Having been a student for many years at Think Summer! I would like to share with other students the wonderful experiences I have had at the Academy. I am a good student, am competent in several sports, have had a lot of experience doing the hard work of running my own lawn care business, and am anxious to prove that I can be an asset to the Think Summer! program.
I mow and edge lawns and do other general lawn maintenance such as raking leaves and trimming bushes. I also care for people's yards and plants if they are out of town. In the winter I shovel snow. I do marketing (see attached flyer) and talk to prospective customers. I do maintenance on my equipment and keep track of the business income and expenses. Because of my skills in this area, I am able to volunteer to help elderly people in my neighborhood who need help with their lawns or with snow shoveling. I do not accept payment when I volunteer.
Good athlete in multiple sports
Comfortable working as a member of a team
Classical guitar player at an advanced level
Good cook
I have enjoyed sports all my life. I have played baseball since I was young and I currently play for the Duke City Prime club team. I am a double black diamond skier and a good swimmer (can do flip turns). I got turned on to pump track when I took it for 2 summers at Think Summer! When I was younger, I took a fencing class, played soccer and played basketball. When I was in 8th grade I was on the Madison Middle School tennis team. I have a blue belt in AKKA karate and am a current student with Mr. Davis working towards my next belt. In addition to playing sports, I have taken classical guitar for many years and have participated in the New Mexico Classical Guitar Festival for several summers, where I was section leader for two years in spite of being the youngest member of the group.
