
• Transport finish goods and raw materials overland to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
• Document log work/ rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/ toll receipts
• Input “macros” into our automated system for each stage of the loading and unloading process
• Comply with truck, driving rules and regulations(size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Maneuver trucks into loading and unloading position
• Collect and verify delivery instructions
• Report, defects, accidents, or violations
• Long distance driving
• Securing cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the vehicle
• Maintaining a detail log of working hours and compliance with state and federal regulations
• Insuring any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving

• Performing daily maintenance of truck ( refueling, cleaning, ect.)
• Loading and unloading box trucks with forklift and pallet jacks
• Interacting with customers in a professional manner
• Performing and post trip vehicle inspections

• Transporting goods and materials with various kinds of trucks, sometimes over long distances
• Planning routes to meet delivery, deadlines, and customer requirements
• Supervising or assisting with loading and unloading goods
• Ensuring their truck well-maintained, safe, and clean
• Communicating and coordinating with dispatchers and customers
• Obeying traffic laws and regulations
• Keeping a detail log of working hours and deliveries
• Reporting any accidents or issues on the route
