I have been involved with music long before I found my love of playing drums. I played Trumpet all throughout my education at Bay Shore High School, as well as participating in Nysmma for Trumpet up to a level 6. I started playing the drums in 2011, while in 7th grade, and quickly joined the school Jazz Bands and Marching Bands for percussion.
I attended Oneonta University for 2 years in hopes of studying Music Industry, and during that time participated in several of the on campus music groups, including the school's Funk Band, Jazz Band, and the esteemed Zappa band that covered Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention music.
While I quickly realized that the music industry was not for me, my love of music, all things percussion, and my passion for helping others discover their love of music and enjoy the pursuit of knowledge was discovered, which has led me to pursue a career in History Education. Helping people discover their love of music, and hone their craft behind the drum set is one of the main driving factors behind wanting to be an educator.
I have been playing music since 4th grade, when I began on the Trumpet. I began taking drum lessons in 2011 with local Bay Shore drum teacher Chris Scherrer, and have been passionate about percussion and drums, and helping others discover their love of drums, ever since. Since then I have played in several groups, while attending Oneonta I played drums in the school's Funk Band, their Jazz band, as well as their esteemed Zappa cover band. I have been performing with local acts around Long Island and the five boroughs since 2015.
