Spray Foam Applicator

Federal Industries
09.2017 - 12.2022
  • Filled tight spaces with foam for custom built island style coolers. Measured the cubic inches of the space needed to be filled and used an equation to determine the amount of foam required to fill the space. The foam I used consisted of two chemical compounds that needed daily calibration to the equipment being used during application to achieve an entirely filled space with out voids. If I used to much it would destroy the part. I made adjustment to the volume of foam being used on an hourly basis to prevent scrap parts and to assure there wasn't any voids.
  • Read and understood blueprints and technical specifications for insulation installation.
  • Delivered training and mentoring to several apprentices in preparation for full-time roles.
  • Inspected completed work for adherence to very strict guidelines and highest quality standards.
  • Provided supervisor with daily status report on all job tasks and workers' duties.
  • Designed and custom built jigs and fixtures to withstand the expansion of the foam which produced 25 lbs. Per square inch in every direction.
  • Assembled components with minimal supervision, exceeding expected project milestones.
  • Completed durable assemblies and subassemblies with hand and power tools.
  • Organized workstations to maximize productivity, reduce distractions and meet deadlines.
  • Collaborated with team members to improve production processes and maintain quality standards.
  • Conducted quality assurance inspections on finished components and identified issues.
  • I was awarded a $1,000.00 Dollar bonus at Federal Industries for improving and stream lining the foaming process. Bonuses are not a costmary process within the company. I had figured out methods to stream line production in such a maner as to eliminate the need for a second shift full time position.
  • I also held several different assembly positions within Federal Industries. I had to follow specific work orders based upon the customers specific needs, follow blue prints work directly with engineers to solve design issues, interpret and follow wiring diagrams, brazing and HVAC as well.
  • Applied and handled insulating products such as foam, fiberglass and cloth with mud
