  • Project 1: Upgrade SQL 2008 to SQL 2016.The scope includes all SQL 2008 Database servers , Report Servers, SSIS and ETL to be upgraded to 2016 and it includes all Development, QA and Production environments. 600 reports were upgraded and tested using python scripts. Revised, modularized and updated old code bases to modern development standards, reducing operating costs and improving functionality.
  • Project 2: Signator Integration. Advisor Group’s Royal Alliance Associates has completed one of the largest deals in the independent broker-dealer space this year, retaining 95% of production from John Hancock’s Signator Investors. As part of this acquisition, Advisor Group retained 96% of the Signator’s 1,933 advisors. These advisors were integrated into Royal Alliance and this had a very large impact on all applications and systems within Advisor Group, like Commissions, Licensing and Registration, Clients and Accounting etc. As part of Datawarehouse team, I had supported all applications for smooth transitioning of the new advisors into the Advisor group systems.

  • Project 1: Python Automation Incorrect Transaction Fee Report. This is a review report used by the Compliance team for reviewing transaction fees of trades. This report is generated using a SQL script and generated as a comma separated file. A python program is scheduled to run the query every day, generate the report and send it to the mail group. The rules, exceptions and email recipients are set in configuration files.
  • Project 2: Amsterdam Migration. AIG announced sale of AIG Advisor Group to Lightyear Capital LLC at the end of2016. The production migration of Advisor Group platforms, applications databases to the new network was scheduled for 2017 September and it was a one year project executed by all technical, infrastructure and network teams. The project had 4 different phases: Lab, Development, QA and Production. As part of the Datawarehouse team, I had worked closely with the DBA team , coordinating activities of migration. All UI screens, scheduled jobs, ETL activities, reports and sharepoint links were tested during each phase. All applications were tested on the new Virtual Desktop Interface(VDI) and made sure all users/accesses, softwares, firewall rules , backup and restores were setup before the production migration. Also, worked on a plan to execute all scheduled jobs and activities which were stopped during the cut over window.
  • Project 3: Advisor Business Intelligence(ABI). The Business Analytics for Advisor Group is a project designed for building up a dashboard for Advisors for analyzing their performance and setting up goals for the coming years. The options on the dashboard include analysis on Assets Under Management(AUM) where the Advisors can review the assets, accounts and clients under them and a Sales Module representing Sales(Transactions) data for the different Advisors. The screens are built in .Net with ExtJs which includes graphical representation of history data with trending charts and forecasts and also contains various reports with the option of export to different formats like csv, excel and pdf. There are also a series of Power BI dashboards which be shared on the cloud platform to business users.
  • Other Projects: Commission Reporting Center(CRC), Data Migration Oracle to SQL Server, Broker Dealer Integrations of AGSI, ACC and FSC.
