I'm currently a Corporal for the Hancock County Sheriff's Department. I have been a supervisor for approximately one year and have adopted a team-oriented leadership style. I have developed a positive rapport with a key focus on mutual respect while maintaining the safety and security of the facility for staff and inmates. I'm an effective communicator with crisis management, conflict resolution, and inmate management skills. I have also completed multiple trainings such as Crisis Intervention Training, First Line Supervision and Leadership Training, and Field Training Officer Training. All the trainings listed have helped prepare me to grow as a leader. I'm also a part of our Conduct Advisory Board and a SERT Team Leader, which have been helpful when working in a Use Of Force situation.
I typically book-in and communicate with our Hispanic Speaking population who come in and speak very little English. I have completed multiple book-ins during my time here in the jail, and I also am tasked with communicating with our Hispanic Speaking population when they have questions in regard to court questions, daily necessities etc.
