Over a 26 year career, I served as basic firefighter/EMT to Assistant Chief of operations. I am certified and have actual field experience in several aspects of firefighting to include, structural, industrial, shipboard and aircraft firefighting. I have responded to hundreds of emergencies ranging from motor vehicle accidents to multi alarm working fires onboard nuclear powered submarines.
I have extensive experience with Incident Command and Incident Management for fire, confined space emergencies, emergency medical scenes, hazardous material emergencies, rope rescue/technical rescue and maritime emergencies. I hold certifications and have taught dozens of classes with local training academy's and through the National Fire Academy as an Instructor. I supervised up to 24 firefighters daily. Tasks include verbal and written instruction, duty assignments, maintain equipment records, payroll and timekeeping, dispute resolution, personnel actions as required.
