I am a pharmacovigilance physician with experience in oncology and immunology compounds, overseeing all safety aspects of development and post-marketing compounds. Immediate past Associate Dean of Continuing Education and a Full Professor of Ophthalmology holding academic leadership positions in medical quality, safety and the continuing education of interdisciplinary clinicians. Well-versed in principles of pharmacovigilance, regulatory reporting, safety management, quality outcomes, and education of staff to build strong collaboration with clinical development to ensure safe, effective medicines.
Pandemic crisis demanded agile restructuring of care delivery to decrease patient on-site time and staff exposure. Building on work done with the retinal imaging a few years prior,we developed a pathway for asynchronous testing visit followed by telemedicine visit, thus making telemedicine available to patients with serious ophthalmic disease.
