Dedicated Science Teacher with 32 years of experience teaching earth science, chemistry, biology, advanced placement biology, and honors biology concepts to pupils. Designed and implemented science programs that included demonstrations, lectures, discussion and student experiments to develop language, logic and problem-solving skills in classroom. Used variety of research-based instructional practices and current resources to support instructional goals and student needs.
During my career, I was honored to receive the District Teacher of the Year twice. I was awarded the Community Educator of the Year designation in Collinsville, Oklahoma in 1995. I earned and maintained National Science Certification for over 20 years. I served as District Science Department Head for 10 years. I have worked with a diverse group of learners throughout my career, including at-risk students in an after school alternative science program for 15 years. I served as a Career Tech liaison for the greater Tulsa area, promoting technology opportunities for students.
