- Completed and customized several major components and business areas of data warehouses for external clients. Most projects were based off of Microsoft AX and NAV source systems. The largest was a complex retail customer which had 13 different companies in the LS Retail/NAV source system. The data warehouse included several complex customizations, including 2 currency conversions into USD.
- Provided Tier 1 support to customers already existing data warehouse systems and infrastructure. This included root cause analysis and improving existing code to ensure the errors or issues didn’t arise again. Support also included complex, very customized integration and development design in order to accomplish the requests and goals of upper management.
- Gathered client requirements in person and remotely. Scoped, developed and advised clients regarding physical and logical data model designing based on the requirements gathered.
- Advise and guide best practices of data warehousing principles to both internal and external clientele. Some of these guidelines were published as an official company white paper about company advised development best practices for data warehousing and ETL pipelines.
- Helped to train clients employees on how to build dashboards and reports using Targit front end reporting tool. The tool is very similar in how dashboards, reports and data models are built in PowerBI.
- Led production deployments using proper SDLC methods to ensure business continuity in case of errors during deployment.
- Developed the procedures based on deep knowledge of the product and internal application behavior and file management. Also, trained new and existing consultants on how to implement these changes for their own clients. This led to better customer satisfaction and less downtime of the reporting platform for my clients.
