Thuy was accepted into the Alverno College Doctorate in Education (EdD) program and graduated in August 2023.

Thuy encourages and challenges students to apply mathematical understanding and skills in practical problem-solving solutions while motivating each student to reach their fullest potential in mathematics and engages students by providing fun, friendly, and challenging group and team activities.
