MDO Director Responsibilities
Oversee the day to day operations of the Mothers Day
out program
- Fully know and understand the responsibilities listed in Child Care Minimum Standards to ensure compliance
- Recruit and enroll new families into the school
- Hire and train new staff members and teachers
- Evaluate staff performance, oversee and manage staff
- Ensure communication throughout the school is effective: with parents, staff and children
- Help teachers implement curriculum and ensure children are learning spiritually, emotional, and academically while having fun
- Complete monthly inventory of supplies and order supplies as needed
- Track operations finances and ensure the operation is run smoothly and effectively
- Provided ongoing professional development opportunities tailored to individual teacher needs fostering continuous growth and improvement among all team members.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of children
- Plan fun events for the school (holiday parties, open houses, fall festival, performances, etc)
- Plan and lead staff training days to ensure all staff receive required annual trainings
- Address parent and staff concerns in a professional, respectful way
- Meet with and give reports to Financial and Campus Pastor
- Attend staff meetings and help with church community

// Kids Ministry Responsibilities
- Create/organize with creative team a Sunday curriculum for the purpose of spiritual formation.
- Recruit, train, and schedule volunteers including youth 6th grade through 12th for Sunday and Wednesday nights children ministry
- Plan and organize quarterly meetings / trainings and fun events for Volunteers.
- Plan and organize periodic outreach events and develop a strategy for engaging visiting and first-time families
- Work with the Lead and Campus Pastor to assess opportunities to improve the effectiveness and quality of the kids ministry in alignment with the church’s vision and values
- Maintained and fostered positive and constructive interactions with volunteers, families and children.
- Keep and open door policy for all families in need
- Create teams for ministering to new moms, meals on wheels for all families with children in need
- Provide childcare when needed ministry meetings, small groups, church events.
