- Relevant Coursework: Cell Biology, Genetics, Organic Chemistry, Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Physics, Calculus, and Statistics
- Extracurricular Activities: [Activity]
- Chapter of Black Women in Medicine Member & Director of Community Engagement
-strives to provide underrepresented black women with the skills, knowledge, and experiences to professionally participate in health care fields and scientific disciplines.
- Research Project: Extended research of 'Disulfide-Trapped CXCL12-CXCL4 Chemokine Heterodimers Prevent Breast Cancer Migration' as it applies to mechanisms of cancer metastasis and vascular immune interactions during cancer growth; The role of inflammasomes in local inflammation, key features of, anchoring and growth of, and vascularization of the metastatic tumors.
- Research Project: SEA-PHAGES, Successfully obtained and completed a plaque assay with an environmental sample that indicated presence of bacteriophage. Students were able to pick plaques from my agar plate to aid in the progression of their experiments. The plaque assay results were named after me and was registered into the bacteriophage database (phagedb.com) as Tiffany22. The bacteriophage found in the plate will be preserved so future classes can pick plaques for their experiments.
-Successfully and collaboratively annotated a chosen bacteriophage genome consisting of 186 genes - Culver.
-Genome annotation with knowledgeably assumed function were finalized and submitted to GenBank for final QC
-Organized MRA was also submitted as a summation of annotation research project
-participated in extended research of bacteriophage genome through the Undergraduate Research Conference presenting "Programmed Translational Frameshifts and Termination-Reinitiation in Bacteriophage Culver"
- Awarded certificate of achievement from Howard Hughes Medical Institute
