- I was accepted into a magnet leadership program where out of 400 applicants only 30 were selected based upon leadership skills and peer assessments. This program was designed to build leaders in the business and healthcare industry using the concept projected and inspired by the Blue Flying Angels. This program gave me extra tools and skills to become and grow as a successful leader.
- I also sat on the Quality & Patient Safety Committee, where I found an area of opportunity for safety. I designed and patented an IV Bag Label for Memorial Hermann Hospital, and other surrounding facilities. These labels are now being used to comply with safety regulations within the system. Myself and my product were featured in the Houston Medical Clinical Notes Magazine (April/May) edition.
