Summary

I have worked since I was 18 in education. I have taught Preschool, was an assistant director of a preschool and then moved on to work with special education 7th and 8th grade in a middle school for 22 years. As an educator I mostly focused on reading recovery skills, test taking strategies and life skills. I also was involved in trauma training and working with our ED student. I worked with drop out prevention and parent-child conflict resolution. I have worked as an advocate for foster care, which included trainings and collaboration on ways to improve the system. I have spoke at multiple churches and organizations on foster care awareness. My passion is anything that deals with helping at risk youth and social work related jobs. I am also passionate about improving our youths reading levels and feel it is the key to educational success.
