Responsible for the childcare services provided to children residing in Eva’s Village Hope Residence, a halfway house for women and children, within the Childcare Department. Embodies Eva’s Village core values, voice, and tone to provide an exceptional and effective experience for clients, funders, employees, and volunteers.
Follows the Eva’s Village Employee Handbook and ensures all staff are well versed in policies and procedures. Adheres to the Eva’s Childcare Manual policies and procedures and ensures staff compliance. Conducts annual reviews of departmental policies and provides recommendations to the supervisor. Plans and implements developmentally appropriate activities for infants, toddlers, and preschool-age children.
Participates in the hiring of part-time and full-time staff to ensure qualifications are met. Oversees staff training and provides ongoing supervision. Reviews the annual training schedule and recommends workshops on best practices in the field, as well as refresher courses for identified areas of concern. Hosts monthly staff meetings and prepares weekly staff schedules, ensuring staff-to-child ratio standards are maintained at all times.
Supervises staff while maintaining high-quality, compassionate care standards. Fosters collaborative working relationships with program staff throughout Eva’s Village. Meets with clients, Clinical Director, managers, counselors, and case managers, as appropriate, to resolve issues or complaints. Attends weekly MDT meetings when necessary and immediately informs the supervisor of any critical incidents and/or complaints.
