  • Responsibilities included 6000 psi proof pressure testing, flush and contamination particle count of the nacelles hydraulic system.
  • Removal of component simulators and the installation of ADG, APU, PTO shaft, GS panels, hyd. Control valves, reservoirs, pumps, accumulators and actuator rigging.
  • Proof pressure testing of the nacelle EBADS & ECS systems.
  • Installation of pneumatic ducting, reducing valves, precooler, ATS and other related components.
  • Routing of fire detector loops and installation of fire bottles.
  • May 1986 promoted to nacelle systems sub assy. Leadman. Responsibilities included rigging APU & ADG alignment tooling.
  • Installation of nacelle system component simulators.
  • Rigging of titanium hydraulic and nitrogen system tubing to these simulators.
  • Proof pressure / leak down testing of nitrogen and fuel systems.
  • Removal of simulators and installation of system components.
  • As leadman my duties included training of open transfer employees, assigning jobs and assessing progress, bar charting, restraint and parts shortage status, reporting non-conformance conditions, requesting engineering changes and making sure the station ran smoothly.
  • Experiences include Deutsch swaging, Cryofit fitting installation, electro-chem etching, wiggins and hydroflow type fittings, pre-assembly sealing, electrical bonding.
