I am an organized and dependable candidate that has more than eight years of work experience within a correctional setting and an additional three years as a General Manager. I am competent in interpreting sentencing orders, calculating time adjustments and serving as a contact point for questions from or regarding individuals in custody. As an Office Administrator III and the back up to the Executive II-Record Office Supervisor, I am currently responsible for interpreting individual in custody’s mittimus, checking current judgement orders and calculations sheets for accuracy, and gathering and distributing information for subpoenas and any other court related documentation. I am LEADS Certified and have the responsibility of reading and interpreting reports ran to decipher criminal history and any active warrants or orders of protection. I calculate time adjustments such as restorations and revocations of goodtime, amended mittimus, and good time awarded through contracts. I also served as the back up to the Litigation Coordinator, assisting in lawsuits and preparing court documentation. I am proficient in Microsoft Office and have frequently used it to create documents, excel spreadsheets. Past duties and responsibilities as an Office Associate 2 involved reviewing and screening applicants for video visiting, creating training programs for security staff in order to ensure that all were capable of performing all duties of a were capable of performing all duties of a monitoring officer, and I was the liaison for the video visiting technology company, GTL. I interfaced frequently with the company staff regarding technical errors, customer complaints and continuing education for all employees. I was responsible for the creation of memos and Excel spreadsheets that were used to ensure that all in coming information was easily accessible to all employees.
As a Correctional Officer, I was responsible for the care, custody and safety of incarcerated individuals at the East Moline Correctional Center. I was responsible for performing count procedures and directly supervising the movements, conduct, work, discipline, and recreation of incarcerated individuals. During my time as a Correctional Officer, I became TACT certified, completing the 40 hour required course at the Training Academy in Springfield, IL. I was a part of several call outs and was sent with my team to facilities across the state. I completed Armory training and was assigned as a Contraband Officer within my first year.
