Timothy Benjamin

Tolland,CT

Summary

Veteran State Trooper with over 10 years experience. From the Academy I was stationed to Troop C (Tolland Barracks) where I remained on Patrol till April of 2023. In 2018, I was selected in a K9 assessment, and assigned a specialty K9 (Bloodhound). With that, I have received extensive training in Man tracking/trailing and was regarded as a subject matter expert in this area. With my assigned K9, numerous subjects were located (missing, wanted and deceased). Ultimately my assigned K9 (Eli) was diagnosed with cancer in January of 2023 and subsequently retired in April of that year.

Following this, in April of 2023, I was transferred to the Research, Planning and Development Unit located at State Police Headquarters in Middletown. Over the past year, I was assigned various areas of concern to include CISS (Connecticut Information Sharing System), Idemia (LiveScan) and JOCE (Judicial Portal for submitting paperwork to Judges directly. With regards to CISS, the agency has designated me as the Project Supervisor and a subject matter expert for this endeavor.
