Accomplishments

Developed adolescent reading program steeped in vocabulary and various literacy strategies for students with disabilities; students reading below grade level with limited literacy exposure. Students achieved greater gains in reading performance than general education peers.

Created Cafe de Shell with an adjacent learning center/commons/library within Roxana High School. The cafe, an authentic employment training program for students with disabilities along with the learning center proved to become an all-inclusive area emboldening the school culture.
