I am a dedicated Work Study Student accustomed to performing effectively in both collaborative and autonomous capacities. I have strong knowledge of architectural design programs but I am looking to learn even more in a professional setting. I am an excited, friendly, and outgoing emerging professional.
I work as a stagehand at the theatre and through this work study job, while it is not working towards my desired profession, I have learned the importance of the most minuscule details when it comes to providing an enjoyable product for viewers. I have been able to learn about theatre technologies as well as the importance of efficiency while putting on a show.
The main goal for volunteer work through my church was community outreach. We are taught that we are to go out and tell the good news to those who don't know, so we found ways to do so in fun and inclusive environments. We would host community block parties, get involved with the local intermediate and high school, and we would reach out to youth groups from other cities to grow in fellowship.
My dad is the pastor of the church and I help in whatever ways I can. I have helped with remodeling our gymnasium, cleaning the church each week, preparing for banquets, and establishing community outreach programs. I have also helped in the technology booth to upload sermons online to our Facebook followers.
I have partnered to establish a new club at the middle school that helps introduce younger students to golf. My partner, Kailey Cuevas, and I found that it would be a considerable help for kids to have an outlet outside of school that could introduce them to a sport that they may have been unaware of before. We saw an opportunity to be able to help our community in an enjoyable way as well as in a field where we had a large amount of experience and knowledge.
