Summary

Applying for the position of Brake press operator in machine shop. I have been with Kodiak Aircraft Company for close to Nine years, working in the Flight controls assembly. My main area is the senior builder in the flap cell, but have been involved in building ailerons (mastered), Horizontal (mastered), and Vertical. When we returned from Furlough in 2020 Jude told us to find ways to cut our build times while maintaining a quality product. I have managed to cut the flap build time by 15 hours, without any loss of quality.

During the time spent in flight controls, I was called out to help Bob and Bill handle parts as they were being formed in the Brake press from time to time and I developed an interest in what the processes were to form the parts. I've also contributed to making adjustments to the part forming to better fit in the assembly.

I know the importance of accurate measurements and how to read part drawings. I believe in good housekeeping in my work area and taking care of fixtures and equipment. I also respect the power of the equipment used and maintain all the safety criteria that are required of me in the performance of the work I am asked to do.

If given this opportunity, I intend to learn the processes involved and perform the tasks in a safe and prompt manner for many more years to come at Daher.
