(Iron foundry). Shifting consisted of the placement of jackets around, and weights on top of molds during production. I had to lift jackets and weights via pneumatic lifts, pull the sand molds through on steel carts manually, and place jackets and weights on new molds intended for pouring. There are many nuances to consider while doing this to ensure a successful pour, and to minimize scrap production.

Also, I made cores to be placed inside the molds that serve as displacement for the iron in order to create the correct internal structure for the casting.
