I managed the Fernandina Beach and North locations for JaxSpine and Pain Centers and oversaw the day-to-day operations, ordering of supplies, balanced invoices and outstanding balances, 100+ employees. I worked with local, state, and federal agencies to be granted, and maintain, accreditation, along with leading the initiative for quality assurance programs. I oversaw all patient scheduling and procedures. I handled patient complaints and new patient inquiries. I worked with patients, Reps, partners, and employees to help educate and inform both current patients and the communities in the areas where we operated on major health issues and current treatment options available. While working with JaxSpine and Pain centers, I also performed various outpatient procedures such as Kyphoplasties, Spinal cord stimulator implants, Epidurals, joint injections, and many other pain management procedures.
I started working as the EMG/Radiologic Technologist, performing Nerve conduction studies on patients with Nerve damage and/or with patients with related symptoms. Within 18 months, I worked my way up to managing the office and it's 35 employees. I oversaw all payroll and time off request, both employee and patient relations, and worked with Insurance companies to further our network to provide better care and coverage for our patients. I also worked with local, state, and federal agencies to maintain good standing within each. I initiated new marketing techniques to help grow business while also growing relations with local businesses and medical practices. I also initiated continuing education programs to help keep the staff and myself up to date on the current gold standard of treatments, policies, and procedures. I carried out my role until August of 2018 when my employer retired after 40+ years.
I worked at St. Joseph's/Candler for 6 years until I got married and moved to be closer to family. While working there I was the Lead Technologist from 6pm until 6am. Being the Lead Technologist meant I oversaw the entire radiology department throughout the night shift. I handled all job assignments,making sure the radiology, ER, and OR departments were staffed and ran with maximum efficiently. I oversaw all stock levels and supply/equipment ordering and maintanance, and making sure jobs were completed efficiently and with safety to our patient's being our priority.
