  • Report directly to the Chief Mate and OIM, organize daily deck and marine crew operations (3rd Mates, Able-Bodied Seamen, Crane Operators, Roustabouts, and Paint Crew)
  • Ensure that work is performed in an efficient and safe manner, in accordance with environmental regulations, company and rig procedures/policy, and marine best practices
  • Oversee safe lifting operations, cargo management, and liquid transfers
  • Monitor and calculate rig stability, prepare daily reports and assist with ballast control
  • Ensure compliance with navigation procedures, conduct preventive maintenance on marine, life-saving, and firefighting equipment, and manage hydrophone and beacon operations
  • Maintain accurate records, update charts, and report discrepancies
