Timothy Mooney

• I taught AP U.S. History to sophomores (4 sections) and World Studies to freshman (2 sections). I was also Head Boys Cross Country Coach & Assistant Track Coach. In addition to these duties, I was faculty advisor to two Ames High Clubs: SHEPH Students Helping Eliminate Poverty & Hunger and the Feminist Club. In addition to this I do about 178 other things every day.
• Created lesson plans and made adjustments based on overall class performance throughout year.
• Devised lesson plans reflecting student educational, cultural and language diversity.
• Established and supported positive educational environment for student learning.
• Established and communicated clear learning objectives and expectations to students.

• We helped U.S. High School students to have a cross cultural experience through service learning projects in Africa. For 17 summers we have been building primary schools in Eastern Uganda in partnership with Paul Lubaale and the rural communities where the schools are built.

Organized Bible Studies and fellowship events for Makerere University students. Living and working in a war torn country for 3 years was perhaps the best preparation I could have gotten for my teaching career.
