I am currently working as a maintenance supervisor with Penske in all different locations. I am now taking a roll of a rotating supervisor. I report to Penske in Gainesville, GA, I open the shop and get the technicians started with assigned work. Then with a company car that is assigned to me, I go from location to location helping out where they need me in our district. Gainesville, Duluth, Berkeley Lake, Norcross, and some captive shops as well.

As a supervisor, I assign current work to technicians, monitor proper repairs and techniques to perform the repairs (including safety, and proper PPE), keep proper work flow through the shop, keeping customers updated on the progress of their units, and also help order parts when needed.

• Reviewed work orders, allocated resources, assigned tasks, and established priorities for completion of jobs. Additional tasks incude:
• Supervised technicians on repair and installation of machines or systems according to manufacturer's specifications.
• Maintained records of repairs and parts inventory usage to optimize future planning efforts.
• Investigated customer complaints about product quality issues due to malfunctioning equipment.
• Ordered replacement parts as required to keep machines running efficiently.
• Assisted in training new hires on proper operation and maintenance techniques for various types of machinery.
• Oversaw team in completing job tasks quickly and accurately with appropriate use of instruments and tools.
• Monitored inventory and ordered needed supplies to meet demand for repairs.

I started with MHC Kenworth Leasing as a mechanic. Within the first 90 days, I had completed all of the required Cummins training they had assigned to me and had started my Paccar training shortly after. I quickly became the their go to guy for diagnostics. As I showed my skills, at my 90 day review, I recieved a pay increase. Since my 90 day review, the shop had lost the service manager, foreman, and 2 techs. I was the only one who knew how the system worked, so I stepped up into the foreman position. I have been working as the foreman since without officially getting the title of a foreman and without appropriate compensation for taking on all responsibilities of the shop due to still not having a permanent service manager. I now oversee 5 techs who are still in school and are lube techs that also perform small repairs. I have been handing the scheduling of techs, all diagnostics and big repairs, the scheduling of what trucks are coming in and out of our leasing location, and communicating with clients of MHC. All work at the shop comes through me and I handle all work orders. As I am the person that coordinates what goes on in the shop, I am also on call on my days off as well so that if the techs or clients of MHC have any issues or questions, they can call me to help them figure those issues or questions out. All techs can open work orders but i handle making sure that all parts are charged out, tech stories are in the system, and closing work orders out. This has now opened up my mind that I am ready to step up into a leadership position such as a lead tech, shift supervisor, or a manager and be recognized for the hard work I perform on a daily basis.

This shop is new and was contacted by a old foreman from Nextran. He stated he needed more tech's and was willing to pay more than swift. I have performed services, diagnostics, and repaired trucks at this shop. Working on anything from medium duty to heavy duty trucks. This shop also refurbishes yard dogs. I have torn the yard dogs down to the frame and rebuild them back up to new.

• Put in new vehicle systems and components.

Swift Transportation is a fleet and not a dealer ship. Repairs were no more than maybe a simple clutch replacement. Performed PM services, alignments, and component replacement or repairs. Minor engine repairs to Detroit, Cummings, and Volvo engines. Performed many repairs to axles, aftertreatment systems, ABS systems, engine component replacements and repairs, as well as clutch replacements and minor trans repairs.

• Diagnosed faults or malfunctions to determine required repairs, using engine diagnostic equipment such Detroit diesel, Cummings, and Premium Tech Tool for Volvo software.

I was a heavy diesel technician and perform various jobs on a daily basis. I perform repairs from simple pm services to engine, transmission, front and rear axle, and aftertreatment system repairs. I have acquired my engine master certification and currently working on my transmission masters certification. I have performed diagnostics using computer skills and inspection skills of components on class A trucks. Performed many DOT inspections and know what is required by DOT standards.

I have also learned to rebuild MP7 and MP8 Mack engines which are the same as D11 and D13 in the Volvo side. Gear train failures to transmission rebuilds. With Impact i could do engine rebuilds and more.

At Petro truck center, I was a 3M mechanic and performed simple repairs and pm services to class A trucks and trailers. Main repairs were tires, brakes, air leaks and lighting systems. Wielding mudflap brackets and using torches to cut objects off.

At Loves truck stop I had started off as a cook and left as a shift leader for the restaurant side of the store. I started off as a graveyard shift being the only person on duty. In the restaurant side we had subway and chesters chicken. I had prepped food supplies for the next day, cleaned all areas of the restaurant, served overnight customers, and took two different trucks of inventory to sort, organize, and account for all inventory.

I had got an opportunity to move up and become a shift leader on the evening shifts. I had overseen employees and shift tasks. Was responsible for making all shift duties were performed and that all employees on the shift performed customer service.
