Documented and resolved issue of high repeat trouble call and low customer satisfaction ratings in local Technical Operations Department. Designed and developed a mentoring program that identified and trained legacy technicians with highly effective customer satisfaction ratings to be selected to mentor newly hired employees daily for a period of 90 days. The previous process was to send newly hired technicians into the field for a period of two weeks with any technician that happened to be available that day. This resulted in substandard technical and customer interaction skills in these new hires. After a six month pilot process, new program led to a 10+% reduction of repeat trouble calls and a 20% increase in customer satisfaction scores. This program was eventually adapted to be used in our national training programs.
