Professional Responsibilities And Accomplishments

  • Conduct internal and external visual inspections of pressure vessels in accordance with API 510, ASME standards, and client specifications.
  • Perform visual inspections of piping systems per API 570 and applicable ASME/API codes.
  • Execute automated Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) for corrosion mapping using Olympus OmniScan-SX and OMNI MapRover.
  • Inspect mechanical assemblies prior to primer/coating application and perform final inspections before shipment.
  • Witness and document hydrostatic testing, ensuring required pressures and temperatures are maintained without deficiencies.
  • Inspect and verify Pressure Relief Valves (PRVs) for functionality and compliance with API RP 576 and ASME Section VIII, Division 2.
  • Validate vessel component materials against MTRs, confirm dimensions, flange ratings, and orientations per engineering drawings.
  • Interpret radiographic film in accordance with applicable codes and acceptance criteria.
  • Audit NDE contractors to ensure procedural and code compliance.
  • Coordinate required NDE examinations based on client requirements and applicable codes.
  • Proficient in asset integrity data management systems such as AIMS and PCMS.
  • Analyze field inspection findings and develop action plans using knowledge of API/ASME codes, corrosion rates, damage mechanisms, and process conditions.
  • Provide clients with detailed reports on equipment condition and recommendations for repair, re-rating, replacement, or modification to ensure safe operation.
  • Support Risk-Based Work Selection (RBWS) and inspection planning for Western Midstream, based on RBI assessments.
  • Collaborate with contractors performing API inspections, NDE, and soft craft work to improve compliance across facilities.
  • Conduct API 510 internal and external inspections during facility outages as required by Western Midstream.
