- Assisted surgeons by providing direct support during surgical procedures. This includes making incisions, assisting with hemostasis, providing retraction for visualization, proper handling of tissues and organs, closing incisions, and dressing surgical wounds.
- Collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and outcomes. I am a clinician for general and vascular surgical services and the back up clinician for plastics. I prepare and amend preference cards for each procedure within my services. I review each scheduled surgery within my services so that I know if I need to address anything that is tailored to each case. I work with surgeons, vendors/reps, charge nurse, schedulers, inventory manager, central supply manager, and perioperative director to ensure that supplies and instrumentation are available for each patient within my services.
