Establish Restorative programs for Residents following recommendations from Skilled PT/OT staff and work side by side with MDS coordinators to maintain programs and keep them updated
Work with Residents on recommended programs established by Skilled Therapy. Ambulation, Exercises, ADL'S, proper eating programs ect...Establishing Ex. groups with 4-5 Residents
Chart the number of reps, feet, minutes, days Resident exercised as this is important for MDS coord.
Training new staff to equip. such as full lifts, sit to stands and use of gait belts.
Helping with clinics for all staff to help keep them updated to equip and safety when using.
Making sure Residents have proper W/C's, cushions and any safety equip necessary.
Performing proper lymphademia massage and applying any wraps or special hose recommended by Skilled Therapy.
CNA duties until 1995 when I was moved to the therapy dept. as an Restorative Aide. Following Restorative programs established by Skilled Therapy. Charting all Residents for minutes, reps and Amb along with feet walked and how long it took them.
Monthy checks to all lifts. Making sure all Residents had proper W/C's and safety equipment as needed.
Performed with activity director daily for a 15-20 min exercise program.
