Accomplishments

Project Management:

  • Planned and directed cleanup and redevelopment of contaminated properties for reuse under the Brownfield Program. Obtained various State DNREC grants and a major Federal EPA Grant; which resulted in four revitalized sites cleared for future development. One of the cleanup sites was actually chosen as an EPA National Publication.
  • Downtown Development District Administrator. Spurred private capital investment in a commercial business district and neighborhoods. Stimulated job growth and improved the commercial vitality. Helped to build a stable community of long-term property owners and residents in our downtown business district and area neighborhoods. Also provided rebate program advisement and management for the investors.

Operations Management:

  • Managed three Main Street organizational committees within the downtown (BID) Business Improvement District.
  • Handled all functions related to Planning/Zoning, Public Works, Community Development, and Economic Development within the BID.
  • Implemented and managed six organizational grant programs available to small business owners in the BID.
  • Managed six rental properties and three public parking lots within the BID.

Professional Development:

  • Appointed by Governor Carney to the Governor's Advisory Committee for Transportation, Employment and Social Services. Currently serving as the co-chair.
  • Notary Public.
  • Serve on various governmental and community boards & committees.
  • Serve as a teaching representative, proctor and judge for various small business programs and initiatives.
  • Created a Social Media platform to assist small business owners that I did not serve through my job, so that they may have access to the same information that I was dispersing to the business owners through my job.
