I changed my career focus to semi-retire from being a corporate trainer and a pediatric R.N. to pursue part-time opportunities in teaching children and nurse navigating. - Create and implement age appropriate and engaging curriculum for all elementary, Jr. high, and high school classes that teach to the learning goal standards established by the specific teaching institution's visions and values.
- Science subjects implemented over several semesters include general science, biology, anatomy and physiology, marine biology, zoology, and space astrology.
- Reading tutorials from 1st to 6th grade levels are instructed and facilitated to promote increased literacy and fluency.
- Writing styles taught at the !st through 6th grade level include narrative, opinion, compare and contrast, creative storytelling, and poetry
- Enhanced classroom engagement utilized through the use of interactive teaching methods, such as group projects and hands-on activities. Creative teaching ideas include developing games, drama skits, puzzles, and learning through movement. For general science, the scientific method is our framework. Experiments are designed when applicable.

- Develop strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues by maintaining open lines of communication and fostering a supportive learning environment.
- Foster a positive learning environment by managing classroom behavior effectively by establishing clear expectations, modeling appropriate conduct, and consistently enforcing established rules and consequences. Classroom management approaches include the Love and Logic ideas by Jim Fay and Micheal Linsin's work.
- Provide additional support and modified lesson plans and instruction for children identified to be on the spectrum.
