Beyond the salon

My dream of becoming a successful hairstylist led me to realize I had an even bigger dream, to teach. Becoming a hairstylist is so much more than doing hair. Becoming a cosmetologist has taught me more lessons in life than I ever imagined. It had exposed me to different cultures, religions, and has opened my eyes to parts of the world I never knew existed. Being able to make someone’s day by providing a service that I take pride in is a privilege. To be able to take my knowledge and give that back to students who have the same dream that I had would be an honor.
