I worked multiple positions within Amedisys since my start in 1994. I started out as a field nurse case manager and then became mentor to all new staff and SOC nurse. I did quality control, lab review, obtaining labs, IV infusions, TPN infusions, Wound Vacs, G-tube , wound care, disease processes education and foley catheter care. I have been Oasis and Coding certified for many years. I assisted in making some of the policy and procedures at the beginning of my Amedisys career. I was the liaison between clinicians, patients, physicians and families. I was ICD-9 and ICD-10 certified at one point. I also did target audits and worked as part of a project team. I also worked as a Quality Resource manager, Clinical Assessment Manager, Quality Assurance Manager and Primary Coordination Manager.
