Cristina Mosqueda

I currently practice as a trauma and an acute care surgery nurse practitioner. I am the first assist in general and trauma surgery at a Level II trauma center. Daily responsibilities vary and include patient rounding, providing outpatient follow up in clinic setting, and work collaboratively with many disciplines to improve patient outcome. My background is in trauma, pre-hospital and EMS, flight nursing, and emergency department nursing. I obtained my doctorate degree in May of 2020. My doctorate project analyzed the need and potential utilization of the acute care nurse practitioner on a rural flight transport team for Northern Nevada. The project was featured in the Nevada Nurses Association quarterly RNFormation September 2020. The final project consisted of program outlines, cost analysis, and a proforma.
